Hello, I have spent the best part of a week researching why I cannot connect my LG 27UD58-B monitor to my ACER VN7-791 series laptop through HDMI. I'm guessing the HDMI version is 1.4 but according to other questions and posts on this site, I should still be able to get the native res. of 3840 x 2160 at least at 30Hz. But the maximum it will allow is 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. No matter what I try I get the dreaded message that it exceeds the bandwidth. I have even tried lower values than it's current resolution but I still get the same message when I try to customise the resolution. Shouldn't anything lower be OK? Can anyone help me please? The HDMI cable has "high speed cable" embossed on the side, so I am guessing it isn;'t the problem. Any help greatly appreciated! Some details regarding my Laptop...
