Hi all,

my Predator Helios 500 has a 256 GB SSD and a 1 TB 5400'' HDD.

I have concluded that the games I have installed on the HDD are slower,so I would like to know how to disable the head parking, the HDD sleeping mode and maximally optimize the HDD for gaming.

Please help me.
Thanks to all in advance.

You can't optimize the hdd the only thing you can do on the power plan is to set it no never sleep and thats just about it what i suggest it's either upgrade your hdd to a 7200rpm (wd balck or any other not much to choose from) or just get an 2.5 ssd instead i can say that my hdd works just fine and even the 5tb 2.5 external hdd i have works great on usb-c and usb 3.0 on a 10gbps 2.5 enclosure

Here is the point of my question.

I have installed GTA V with tons of mods, and NBA 2K18 on the HDD and they work perfectly!

Only ArmA 3 gives me stuttering and huge FPS drops when installed on the HDD.
I installed it on the SSD and the stuttering and the FPS drops had gone.

But,I would like to keep it installed on the HDD,so I would please you to tell how do I keep ArmA 3 on the HDD but fix the stuttering issues and FPS drops?

    Please help me.

    Thanks in advance.

Some games require ssd some work fine on hdd its a question of trial&error if you see that a game you installed on th hdd is stuttering or drops fps move it to the ssd to see if its sorts it  or as i said you can always upgrade your hdd to a 7200rpm or if you can afford it just upgrade to an ssd and you issues are all solved regarding lack of speed because of the drive
