Can't connect SF314-54-53S4 to VGA monitor with HDMI to VGA adapter

Hello everyone,

I tried to connect my SF314-54-53S4 to VGA monitor with this HDMI to VGA adapter: http://prntscr.com/melsv4 but, the monitor is not recognized.

I saw several other questions in the community for other models and similar issue, suggesting to download older version of graphic drivers. I didn't knew which version of drivers could work, so I decided to try with the VGA drivers from here: http://prntscr.com/melysb - and, no luck again

Is there someone who knows how can I solve this issue? Do I need to try with another adapter, another drivers...

It camed out that the adapter itself wasn't working. I tried with another one (same type) and it works perfectly. So, I just need to ask for replacement from the store where I bought my adapter.

As your laptop has an USB type C port, why you don't use this type of converter? I bought the VGA/HDMI unit and it works perfectly with a Switch 5 (VGA or HDMI outputs).
