Predator Sense using too much memory (tried different versions)

Hi there, I've got the Predator Helios 500 running Predator Sense V3_3.00.3004 after switching from V3.00.3005

Both versions have a process, PSAdminAgent, that uses up all my RAM. I've got 16gb of RAM but i usually kill PSAdminAgent once its used 5gb.

I've seen other threads and tried their solutions but no luck. Anyone have a working solution?

The only thing I use Predator Sense for is changing the hotkeys' lights to black (i've switched off other keyboard lights with FN + F9) because i don't want any keyboard lights on. FN + F9 doesn't switch off hotkey lights hence me using black light setting which is the same.

If i remove Predator Sense the RAM leak goes away (obviously) but then the hotkey lights switch back on :(

So either i need a Predator Sense RAM leak solution or a way to switch off hotkey lights that doesn't involve Predator Sense... Any thoughts?

Many thanks.

Check Control Panel programs. Uninstall all instances of Sense that you find. Download and try the earlier v3.00.3002 by expanding the ALL drivers button for the ph517-51 model on the ACER driver download page.  https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7604?b=1  Jack E/NJ

I would just like to add that rolling back to v3.00.3002 did it for me? I think. I also experienced the same problem. I still see three instances of the service running (PSAdminAgent, PredatorSense, PSSvc) although definitely lower CPU and Memory usage - PSAdminAgent is still using around 5GB of RAM when loaded in the foreground. Is this normal? When I closed down Predator Sense app, the RAM usage rose to around 10GB, that can't be good right? Is this a known bug? Is there even an older version to test?

    Predator Sense app opened

    Predator Sense app closed

Try uninstalling, not just disabling, any non-Microsoft antimalware such as Avast, McAfee, Norton's, AVG, etc. MS Defender & MS malware removal tool and possibly occasional use of a standalone scanner like Stinger is all most folks need nowadays. Jack E/NJ

Thanks for trying to help Jack, really appreciate it.

I'm sure though that most folks that have Predator Sense installed + various antivirus/antimalware (I've got Kaspersky) don't have RAM leaking issues so I'm just rather going to uninstall Predator Sense and hope an update comes out or a Windows update solves it.

OK. Perhaps some one else viewing this thread with similar issues might give it a try. The only other fix I can think of that sometimes works for out-of-control memory usage by certain apps and services is to disable File Explorer thumbnails and large icons. Jack E/NJ
