Why does my Aspire V11 appear to have no hard drive?

I've been able to use this notebook to connect to the internet and use windows 365. All the applications work okay but I wanted to get some more memory because I wanted to download some software so that I can learn a bit about coding. So I open up the back of it, after watching a youtube video, and to my surprise (shock) no hard drive? just an empty place where the hard drive should be! As you can probably guess I'm not that savvy with computers, but surely this computer shouldn't really function without a hard drive? Or is it buried somewhere beneath what's actually visible? Any help on this would be much appreciated. This is the V3-112P-c79V model if that helps. Many Thanks
