Aspire VN7-793G- Thunderbolt 3- 144Mhz output from Intel graphic card???
Hey everyone,
this is more of a disscussion post rather than a question.
So I went and buy a 144Mhz monitor (Acer XF240H). I first tested my monitor with the normal HDMI I had.
Under the Nvidia graphis setting, the native resolution was 1920*1080 at 122Mhz. But this did not work on in gaming, as the monitor would turn on and off.
So I reduced it to 100Mhz and it worked fine.
Then, I bought a thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cable and came to realize that the thunderbolt 3 is connected to the internal Intel GPU and not my GTX 1060. So, I have set the Mhz for the Intel to 144Mhz and it seems to be working fine. But how can I check if I am actually getting 144Mhz on the games I play? Would this even help me in gaming since the GTX 1060 is not used to output this 144Mhz?
Thanks
