Upgrading Acer aspire e1-572 to Full-HD screen

hey all! :)

I have a Acer aspire e1-572 that is around 5 years old. Yesterday the screen broke in a accident.

I was thinking about upgrading the 1366x768 screen to a Full-HD IPS screen. I am wondering if this would be possible.

A few specs:

 - Acer Aspire E1-572-54206G75Dnkk --> SNID: 32204202534
 - Current screen --> CHIMEI INNOLUX N156BGE-E41 --> http://www.panelook.com/N156BGE-E41_Innolux_15.6_LCM_overview_20334.html#N156BGE-E41_Compatible_Models
 - Current edp cable: DC02001OH10, 50.M8EN2.004, V5WE_EDP --> only supports 1 lane EDP

So I would have to buy a full-hd IPS screen, and a new EDP cable that supports 2 lanes for the Full-HD res.

Could anyone help me out which screen and cable to get? I'm struggling to find screen/cable that would work. And would the motherboard for example support this full-hd res?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Robin

    Hi,
    Your model came with a FHD panel(B156HTN03.1) as well, so I think the cable will support a FHD screen and you can use this cable for the new panel, there are other compatible panels down the page in the link, so go through them and compare it with B156HTN03.1, this is a TN panel and if you are interested in a IPS, AHVA panels, please scroll down the page in the link to find compatible IPS, AHVA panels.

    Thanks a lot for your quick reply! I have indeed found a Aspire E1-572 variant with a Full-HD screen so that makes me hopefull the cable supports 2 lanes indeed :) I looked at the link u provided, and it seems they are all TN panels, but I can live with that. Going from 1366 to Full-HD is already a nice upgrade. From the compaitible panels, is there any specific brand/model u would recommend? Or are they all fairly similair in quility?

    Hi,
    No problem, you could consider NV156FHM-N42 which is a FHD ADS panel and has contrast ratio of 800:1.

    Thank you! My preference is a glossy panel. Would this panel work with my E1-572?

    It can be bought for around 50,- euro online which sounds like a good deal :)

    I just installed the LP156WF4(SP)(L1) screen in my laptop using the V5WE2_EDp_CABLE DC02001OH10 REV:2.0 cable and it works well. This screen is incredible. I got it used for 50 USD

    As a conclusion, V5WE2_EDp_CABLE DC02001OH10 REV:2.0 has 2 EDp lanes.
