I recently purchased the Acer aspire E15 and I was trying to add an additional hard drive. A website recommended this SSD:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MS6BYJD?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_pd_title

I ordered it but upon receiving it I realized that there is only one m2 drive in the laptop. Is it worth switching out with the standard SSD or should I return it and get an HDD or SSD that will fit in the 2.5 inch slot?

I'm an engineering student so I'll primarily be using the laptop for programs like CAD. This is my first performance laptop. I'd like to upgrade it as much as possible within reasonable price range. If you have any recommendations for upgrades that may help let me know. Would upgrading the RAM be worthwhile for example?

Many thanks in advance for your help

    Hi Jardili,
NVME  is not supported on the E series laptops.
    You can
, you can install one SSD M.2 2280 SATA 3.0 and keep the HDD for your data.
