Acer Predator 17 screen won't turn on, need permanent fix

I need a permanent fix to this issue, not just doing a battery reset every other day when this happens. I will open my laptop and the screen won't turn on though all the keyboard lights are on. This laptop is brand new and has been doing this ever since I got it. It's infuriating that these laptops are being sold like this. What do I need to do to fix this forever?  I have the G9-793

You can also unplug the AC and try a battery power drain by pressing the pinhole in the back/bottom of the laptop for 30s and let it rest 5 to 10 mnts or more then see if you are able to boot into bios load setup defaults and boot normally

Whenever I have this issue I unplug the AC and press the pinhole for about 4 seconds (as a comment somewhere had instructed), then wait five minutes to turn it on again. That allows me to have my screen turn on again, but doesn't prevent it from happening again

Did you loaded bios setup defaults as instructed if so did you updated you bios recently and you have to press the pinhole for 30s or more for a complete power drain and do not switch on wait at least 10 mnts then as i stated load bios setup defaults

F2 on boot screen to get into bios  then F9 to load defaults and F10 to save and exit

Has anyone fixed the black screen issue with predator g9? Would greatly appreciate anyone who can answer me as I have been very frustrated with my laptop now. Just bought it recently and I am dealing with this issue now. Please help. Need help badly ☹️

Recently the black screen has been happening every single day, though it just restarts instead of needing a hard restart now, and there's nothing that needs to be updated. The only solution that I could find was just to turn off sleep mode for my computer altogether, as the problem only occurred when I closed my laptop and it went to sleep. Hope that helps in the short term Neth. It's an incredibly frustrating issue and I will never buy from Acer again.

    Hi guys

I'm having similar issues with my Acer predator 17.
    (Blank screen)

Right now I'm so frustrated I honestly feel like launching this laptop out the window. What I spent on it is probably the only thing holding me back.

At first it wasn't a big deal because the display turned on after a couple of goes (2-3 times) by holding down the power button.

But it got to a point I just felt like i couldn't  keep doing this so I reached out to acer.

They got me to send the laptop back to them so they can look into it and possibly advise me on how to resolve/fix the issue at my own cost because it was out of warranty. I agreed and had to format the system before sending (this bit pains me the most)

Few weeks later I received my laptop back from acer with no further correspondence.

Inside I saw a service report outling repairs their service team did to 'fix' the issue.

Took the laptop out of the box turned it on, the display was blank (keyboard lights, sound, everything, all good). I was so... angry and disappointed.

In fact the issue is worse now than it was before I sent it to acer.

If acer is aware of this issue regarding the Predator display and they still continue to sell the product to people especially at it's high price point(depending on the spec), that's just beyond wrong in my opinion.

All I feel now is pure regret investing in acer and I'll will not to do it again.
