Hello there!

I want my core(s) to run at the (turbo boost number given on intel site) speed of 4.2 GHz. There should be some options in bios but i cannot find any. How can i activate the boost?

It does it auto if you look in task manager it’ll go up automatically. I spend a long time and I finally was smart and looked on task manager. No need to worry!

Turbo boost is not on 100% of time; it is activated only in bursts! And it is auto activated as necessary based on load.

You will never get the 4.2 with turbo boost what intel states its (up to) that means to get 4.20 you would have to use one single core only and that will never happen as it was said turbo boost will auto activate and the numbers you are getting with the 4 cores are the exact correct numbers don't expect more

    Max Turbo Frequency

Max turbo frequency is the maximum single core frequency at which the processor is capable of operating using Intel® Turbo Boost Technology and, if present, Intel® Thermal Velocity Boost. Frequency is measured in gigahertz (GHz), or billion cycles per second.
