Hi there! I have got a brand new Acer Swift 3 SF315 with Windows 10, fall 2018 upgrade.
I wonder if it is possible to somehow let the computer stay on AC at home, but without having to be forced being constantly at charging mode? Or is it possible to get some kind of battery management where i could set my own charging values ("start charging when below 25%, stop charging when above 85%") ? This would let the battery get many more charging cycles, as compared to always run the charging levels between 0 and 100%. Any ideas?

Well, actually, Li ion lifetime charging cycles are NOT significantly/statiscally increased or decreased from the roughly 5% to 100% full swing ACER pre-sets despite what some folks may claim. Most studies I've seen on this are based on small samplings. This might be true for some rechargeable battery chemistries, but not so much for Li ions. Jack E/NJ

Being able to run on AC while battery rests without being charged, would let me use the battery's lifespan when I need it, instead of waste it at home... :)

Well, let's just see if ACER responds since many folks like you seem to want this feature.  Maybe encourage the others support your request for this battery charging control feature. I'll support it.  Jack E/NJ
