Hi all, I recently upgraded my gpu from GTX770 to GTX1070ti. I also would like to upgrade my cpu to i7-8 or 9 series. I wonder if it'll be compatible? Thanks in advance.

For 8th and 9th Intel CPUs it is required to have 300 series chipset. Your device probably has 100 or 200 series chipset, which is not supported by 8th and 9th gen. Even if it was compatible the BIOS wouldn't support it.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

You have an LGA-1150 socket with the Haswell line of chips in your G3-605. I believe the best you can go is the i7-4790K but I'm not sure if the K will help because I don't know if your BIOS supports overclocking. To get anything newer you'll have to swap motherboard, CPU and memory.
