Install the drivers from Acer particularly the Turbo Boost driver.

Then disable "fast startup" within Windows.

Also I see he mentioned a few things to try and you did not confirm trying "putting to sleep".
Try this as well if you haven't already.

Try to uninstall PS completely with a software like youruninstaller or any other similar like iobit to remove all the remaining regedit entry's related to PS that the normal uninstaller won't remove and install it again it might be something conflicting on regedit (obsolete entry's) check the windows task scheduler for the PS entry and also check if u have any errors on windows event viewer -> windows logs (system and application) related to PS

reinstall .dotnet framework 3.5 and the latest 4.xx version.
uninstall the intel xtreme utility and reinstall it. if you have never used intel xtreme utility (xtu) then install that. just to get a fresh xtu service.
then do a fresh install of PS and post what happens...

I just had this problem with my son's, and from your description, it was doing the same thing. When you first boot up your laptop, open the Windows/Cortana Search bar and do a search for Services. It'll say Services and Desktop app, with 2 gears next to it. Click on that and once it opens, scroll down to Predator Sense (or maybe PSense, I forget) and let us know what it says in the Status column. Does it say Running? And also in the Startup Type column. Does it say Manual, Automatic, Disabled?

Try reinstalling the Turbo Boost driver from Acer's website for your model and also run PSense in Windows 8 compatibility mode

I was hoping for a quick, easy solution. You described it as opening into a loop. That sounds like what my son's was doing. When I tried to open Predator Sense, the (triangular) logo would appear in the center of the screen for about 3 seconds, blink and repeat, but would never open. I checked in Services and it wasn't running. As soon as I started it, then it would open. So I set the Service to Automatic and haven't had any trouble since. I can't get it to open when it's set to Manual. My son always runs it anyway, so I don't mind it being on automatic. But if yours says it's Running, I'd think it'd open. I always like to try the simplest solutions first, so if you'd like, you can try setting the Service to Automatic, Start it, and see if it opens.

When it starts looping, close it using the 'x' in that animation at top right corner of it. Then again run Predator Sense (if animation doesn't start, try running again). Will open this time for sure since that's what I have been doing since Windows 10 April Update.
Trying to do my best here - Your happy Predator owner =)!

I have the exact same problem! I also have helios 300 ph513-51. I don't know from which point it stopped working but it was pretty recent. When I launch predator sense, I see the logo start and end in loop. I opened all the PS files located in Acer in Program Files(x86) and then launched predator sense, then the loop of start-end stopped but the app did not start! I have tried to change compatibility option, reinstalled Intel Turbo Boost, disabled fast startup BUT nothing is helping. I think if I reset the windows it will work but that is not I will be doing at all. All my important files will be gone and I don't have any backup method as of right now.

I have reinstalled Turbo Boost driver but it still is not opening. Where is PSense file located? I couldn't find it in Program Files(x86)/Acer
