Shipped in the computer months ago for repairs, and it worked decent just long enough for the warranty to fail. Turns out it's the HDD that needs to be replaced. How can I get the OS back on to a new HDD after I install it in the system?

For note: I'm a hardware tech, so taking it apart enough to do the install myself isn't an issue. Getting the original image back on the new drive will be. There is no DVD drive on this model.

  • Why did not you opt to buy a ssd m2 2280? This model has the entry m2!
Now on your question, you have to convert the pendrive to gpt in powershell, like this: diskpart, list disk, sel disk x (x is the number of pendrive), clean, convert gpt, create partition primary, format fs = fat32 quick and assign! Then download an iso only x64 here: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209
Extract the iso with winrar and copy the files to the pendrive! Then restart the notebook and create an easy password in setsupervisorpassword and disable secureboot! Leave the boot mode on uefi and the pendrive first at boot!
