Helios 500 / Predator Sense Not Responding

Hello guys, my Predator Sense program on my Helios 500 is not responding every time i launch it. I tried restarting my pc and it still isn't working. Any tips or ideas on what i should do to fix it? Thanks in advance!

    For the PH517-51 model, download and re-install Sense app from here https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7604?b=1
     You may have to uninstall the existing version from Control Panel programs. Jack E/NJ

    How do I know if my laptop is PH517-51 model?

    Oh, I found my model name and it's PH517-51 but i dont know how to download the predator sense, i was able to download the .zip file but what to do from there?

    Simply double click on the compressed ZIP file. It should then give you a larger EXE file which you then also double click on to install Predator Sense. Jack E/NJ

    Every time i try to run the setup.exe, it doesn't want to download. It opens Setup-Assistant and once i click next it says ready to uninstall from predator sense

    It wants to uninstall the old Predator Sense that's not working. Let it uninstall. After it's done, then run setup.exe again. Jack E/NJ

    Strange...I already deinstalled predator sense in programs and features before downloding that .zip file. But thanks for the reply, I will try that solution.

    Hi i have the same problem i reinstall it and it works for a while but when i restart my computer its not working again.

    Hey all,
    Same problem here. The problem started today. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with the latest version (including the link @JackE posted). It works until I reboot the laptop and then PS either loads a blank screen or no longer loads at all.

    Something is definitely broken.

    Hello again,
    I can confirm that even though the PS app won't load, it is still loading keyboard colour and my custom xtu profile at boot.

    Hi,
    I was on my work laptop when I reported the problem and didn't have time to try your suggestion. I have another Helios 500 at home and when I booted up and started PS I was greeted with a screen asking me to confirm new default settings for the hotkeys. I did and PS is running great.

    My predatorsense.exe version is 3.0.3119.0 dated 12th June 2019. I assume it must be an update to PS. 

    I'll check at work tomorrow and see if it's the same version

    The restore point might've been made by an errant Win10 update, not PS. Jack E/NJ

    Hi,
    I'm at work now and can now confirm the following:

    Helios 500 at home has predatorsense.exe version 3.0.3119.0 dated 12th June 2019 (working great)

    Helios 500 at work has predatorsesnse.exe version 3.0.3005.0 dated 8th September 2018 (not loading)

    I have no idea how my home laptop got the update to PS yet my work laptop hasn't. 

    The version that is available for me to download on the Acer website is the old one. No idea where to get the new version.

    The link gives me a PS with .exe version 3.0.3116.0 dated 7th March 2019 and it works.

    Thanks for that, much appreciated.

    I would love to know where version 3119 comes from though, and how I ended up with it installed. I can only assume it was via Windows Update and will check when I get home tonight.

    I'm gonna guess via another update you apparently did at home. 3119 will probably eventually show up in the ACER downloads for your particular model. But if 3116 seems to work OK, I'd probably just forget trying to install 3119 if it ever shows up there. Jack E/NJ
