hello, i just bought the Acer Predator Helios 500 with the Linux pre-installed and i want to put a Windows 10 Pro on it from a USB. in order to make the laptop see the USB I need to switch in BIOS to Legacy from UEFI at Boot Mode but i just can't manage to do it. Please give me some advice, I can't find the answer. I have set the supervisor password already.

If the linux you have pre-installed and if it's on uefi mode you will have to use uefi mode also for windows 10 or it will not recognize the usb make sure you have the usb drive partition formatted as gpt because uefi doesn't recognize mbr only legacy mode will use rufus or some other software to create the win10 bootable install from an original win 10 pro iso

PS: if you change uefi to legacy the linux install will not boot anymore (same with windows for those who want linux side by side) either u have both OS on uefi/gpt or both on legacy/mbr u cant have one on each it will never work usually after u set supervisor password disable secure boot and you will be able to change uefi to legacy and enable F12 boot menu to choose which device to boot (if i'm not mistaken) but i wouldn't recommend it as u already have linux on uefi unless you want to format everything and run windows only in legacy

Also  there is no need to open 2 threads about the same issue you will not get any help faster by opening multiple threads you will only be ignored not good to keep spamming the community with the same
