predator helios 300 PH315-51 1050Ti I am experiencing performance issue after updating to bios version 1.22, sudden frame drops and high fan speed on normal use. Reinstalled windows but the problem still, keyboard backlit now turns off after 30 seconds while charging too, asked acer team to turn them on while on battery instead it's removed while it is charging. Please tell me how to downgrade my bios! Anyone else having this issue?

Had same problem on different model (that is higher idle temp, stuttering) after bios update, first i reseted bios settings but it didnt help, then i reinstalled windows AND resetted bios again, worked like a charm.
Since you reinstalled windows already just enter bios (F10 i think?) when computer is turning on and restore bios to factory setttings, there is a big chance it will help.

*****. It's the BIOS update now? I just updated my helios 300 and I got the same problem. The battery is charging then every 30sec or something, it turns battery mode. It's s fu**ing annoying.

Depending upon above reviews, should we upgrade the BIOS to 1.22? I guess not. Can anyone from Acer team clarifies on this?

The only changes in the bios 1.22  as far as im aware was the battery saving feature on 1.22 and all next updates as far as i know by auto switching off the backlit keyboard 30s after the last keystroke and that is already explained in the acer help pages never heard about any performance drops issues but the latest windows update has drops in performance so if anyone here updated it roll back or uninstall all the latest updates i have mine permanently disabled since day 1 you can reset to factory acer windows 10 (the best and more stable version) but first backup everything you need and just perform a fresh clean install ALT+F10 on boot but this will not revert the bios version the bios has nothing to do with windows there are ways to downgrade the bios but i don't advise it you might just brick there is no guarantee it will work and my advice is if you don't have issues don't update anything neither windows/drivers/bios leave it as it is don't try to fix what doesn't need fixing

@rohit570 why would you disable turbo boost ? that is pretty much killing the laptop it's like having a horse that performs like a donkey if your temps were high u should had optimized windows/undervolting and if still having issues after repaste with kryonaut or similar and i really doubt your temps are higher due to the bios update no way if you say due to windows update i believe (solution is to downgrade roll back uninstall latest updates) but bios no way
