logic board , power button board circuit

Hi, I sent in a few times regarding a Acer aspire sw5-012 regarding why this laptop will not turn on. The person at the computer shop says he installed in a power button circuit board and I gave him  $40.00 and says that still does not work. He was saying now that the logic board might be the trouble. and now this is another issue and also without the laptop and if I have the serial number to that laptop, if I run it through, without it being turned on, can I view that from another laptop without this laptop? How do I contact Acer and get help? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Reply Needed ASAP. Thanks, Mary.

If the power button board was replaced and it still fails to turn on, then the mainboard has likely failed. Unfortunately, the storage drive chip is a soldered-in part of the mainboard and cannot be accessed directly from another laptop. If it's no longer under warranty, I can only suggest that you ask the computer shop to try to solder-reflow the mainboard at 425*F for about 15mins. You can also try to contact ACER service at this webpage https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support  If it's still under warranty but you can't find the serial number id (SNID) then I suggest that  you contact the vendor/seller from which you purchased the machine to see if they can locate it for you.   Jack E/NJ
