Should I be concerned (gsync issue?) Acer XB271HU

For the first 24 hours the monitor worked beautifully, vibrant and smooth. I placed computer on standby and kept monitor on sleep (I think that' what it was, where I didn't manually shut off the monitor).

Later in the afternoon I hit spacebar on my computer to wake it up from sleep. I noticed the screen flashed orange quickly before showing normal pic. I didn't think much of it until when playing games I noticed it wasn't smooth at all. No screen tearing, but studdering that was very annoying. I spent 2 hours troubleshooting from turning gysnc off/on, unplugging monitor, shutting down pc, etc.

Then the ONLY thing that seemed to fix it was going back to the GPU and unplugging the display port and plugging it back in. Things seemed to work great after that, even if it was only 10 minutes of testing since it was so late.

Is this a common issue? Not good to put PC on standby with gsync? I'm wondering if I should return this since I'm not used to spending this type of money on a monitor.

what is the exact model of desktop? Example v3-571! Have you tried updating drivers and windows?

Acer XB271HU. GPU drivers and windows is up to date (windows 10)

OK! What is the exact model of the computer? Have you tried disabling fast start up in power options?

Fast start up in windows itself? I'll give that a shot. Is this a common problem with gysnc?

Current build: i54460 16gb Ram gtx 1080ti. I have a 1080ti in there because I'm testing it out while I wait for other parts to arrive for my pc to build (will have 8700k paired with 1080ti), but that's prob. more info than you need to know.

Thanks. I don't have exact model of desktop as I bought parts and made it myself.

So what is the motherboard model and the bios version? What is the exact model of the video card and have you upgraded to the 417.35 driver?

It's a gigabyte HD97 motherboard. It's up to date as they haven't had bios updates for it. The gpu is an EVGA 1080ti SC and yes I have the latest driver update.
