We bought a secondary HDD for my sons Nitro N50-600. There seems to be locations for up to 2 secondary HDDs but there are no data cables that fit the SATA HDD. Can't we add a secondary internal HDD? Or what are we missing?

    Hi Bjarke,
I am attaching the diagram of the computer components that will help you to make the changes.

Please make sure that the place from where you buy the HDD also provides you  a standard Hdd SATA cable and a mounting bracket  with it.
Please let me know if this answers your question

You need the same type of standard HDD SATA cable and mounting bracket of the existing 3.5" HDD. These are common accessories that usually are included in the purchase of a new drive from the vendor/seller. Jack E/NJ

Hi Bjarke, I also have a second HDD for my  Nitro N50-600. There seems to be locations for up to 2 secondary HDDs, but as you stated there is no data cables that fit the SATA HDD, luckly I had one at home, also I would like to know how did you Position the two harddisks so that they fit onto the built in frame? At the moment I only have one installed and it is built in so that the conection is at the bottom, there is marking on this plate for a second harddisk but I am not sure do I Need to turn the first one or how did you install the second drive? I would help me a lot if you could tell me how this is done. Thanks mate.  Happy New Year.  Best regards Simon

You only need to turn the first one if the SATA cables interfere. Jack E/NJ

Thx Kamalika and JackE. Down to the store and by the cable that wasn't included with the HDD - problem solved :-)

Unfortunately I cannot attach a photo. At the top and bottom of the plate you must remove the screws and then you can turn the plate and mount the HDD on the inside of the plate. The screws needed for mounting is located in the corner of the plate. Hope this helps? :-)

    Hi
I am also installing an ssd and have a question. I have a SATA cable to connect my ssd to the motherboard, but I also need a cable from my ssd to my PSU right? Where did you find this cable to the PSU?

I have a N50-600 desktop computer from Acer and there is text on another hard drive case too,
but is it a 2.5 "or 3.5" hard drive? And how you can usually mount two hard drives there.
The second one is thicker because of the 4tb.
The standard 1tb is too small. The machine also has a large rtx graphics card.

Could someone please tell me if another hard drive is included in the case?

Your question is not clear. If you have the desktop, remove the cover to find the answer to your questions. Jack E/NJ

You must also buy the cable and mounting brackets from the vendor that sells you the 3.5" HDD

I know that. The leadership came to it. My question was whether the enclosure could accommodate two 3.5 "hard drives. The metal enclosure inside the enclosure of the computer case claims that two hard drives could be inserted, but the rtx graphics card could fit the enclosed hard drive, but then should I still have a 4tb hard drive inside it? sized hard drives without any changes to the housing function? I tried to put them in, but the screw hole not quite right.

Yes, two 3.5" HDDs will fit inside the enclosure. But the frame may require some custom modifications to accomodate the other peripherals that are installed inside. If you do not have the tools to make these changes then I suggest that you take it to Lahden's for an estimate on what needs to be done to let you install the thicker 4TB HDD. Jack E/NJ

What kind of changes should be made to that thicker hard drive? The standard thinner disk would allow me to place the hdd2 in place so that it would stay securely between the graphics card and the sheet metal disk. And a thicker 4tb would fit on top of hdd1, but the screw holes might not fit or I might not get the power cord and SATA cable attached to the hard drive. I can do them myself as a computer installer, but I haven't figured out how. Because the plate to which they are attached also contains pieces of iron that hit the bottom of the hard disk.

Sorry I find it hard to advise you on making custom frame modifications without having your actual machine and thicker drive on my workbench to make detailed measurements to make new screw holes or maybe to place the drive elsewhere on the frame. HDD data cables and power extensions  should not be a problem since they can be purchased in different lengths to reach anywhere inside the cabinet. Jack E/NJ

I got installed by expanding the screw holes in the drive to my computer. Admittedly, the second drive is less secure, but it is better secured when you may need to drill new holes for the screws. Thank you for your help
