The battery doesn't increase while charging although it indicates that it's charging and also the battery indicator flashes when it's not connected to a power source(even though the battery is in 68%.)

If the battery LED is orange and flashes 1 second on & 1 second off, there is a problem with the voltage controller inside the battery. I suggest turning the machine off, unplugging the charger and look for a battery reset pinhole on the bottom of the machine. If the pinhole exists, gently insert a paper clip into the hole for about 30 seconds to disconnect the battery. Then let it rest for about 15 mins. Then start it up again to see if the problem is resolved.

If not resolved, open Device Manager, click on the batteries folder. Then uninstall the Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method. Exit Device Manager. Then reboot the computer to let Windows automatically re-install this driver.

As a last resort, if still not resolved, unplug charger again. Boot Windows and let it run unplugged till Windows automatically shuts off the laptop when the battery gets low. Then without turning the machine back on, plug the charger back in and let the battery charge overnight. The orange battery light should change to blue. Then turn it back on.

If none of the above work, you need a new battery. Google "your full ACER model number" and "battery" for vendors/sellers. Usually less than about $30 USD
