I just got a new acer helios 500 it has the i7 32 GB of ram 2 TB HDD and 256 GB SSD
now i wanted to know First will opening the hatch that allows me to change the SSD revoke my warranty and damage protection?
Secondly do I need a prying tool to open the hatch and should I click on the button that disables the battery when opening the hatch?
Lastly are the SSDs in raid or is it a single 256 GB SSD since when i change the bios to AHCI it is unable to boot.
Thanks for taking your time to read and answer.

Opening the back is really easy, two screws and I used a credit card... Probably didn't even need the credit card. Since Acer has a tutorial on how to do this, I would assume it doesn't void the warranty.0

No it doesn't void the warranty unless you have any warranty seals in any screw you can disassemble the laptop completely (carefully of course) and you are not able to boot in ahci because the OS is in uefi boot mode the hdd is formatted to GPT it will never work in ahci because ahci doen't recognize GPT only the old MBR (win 7 etc...) windows 10 also works in ahci but for that you would have to format you hdd/ssd to mbr and reinstall win 10 again for this you will loose the acer stock windows recovery partition as this one would be deleted and you should only have 1 256gb ssd but when u open it you can confirm that
