Hey, ive got a Predator Helios 300 and installed Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on it. It detects my touchpad as a P2 device if it is in basic. If i change the sentings to advanced (bios -> main) , ubuntu doesnt recognize it. Can someone help me pls.

"advanced" will not work in any OS other than Windows 10.
Put it to basic and download and install generic elantech and synaptic drivers for that OS (it should pick from one of those based on the hardware you have).
I did the same for my windows 7 and it works perfectly!

Versions I used to get all advanced touchpad features working in windows 7:
    Bios: basic
    ORDER OF INSTALL
    touchpad_ELANTECH_11.6.24.209_W7x64_A
    synaptics_touchpad_18_1_37_3 (installs driver)
Touchpad_Synaptics_17.0.6.21_W7x64_A (installs driver and software too)

You could try the same for your non windows 10 OS too.
