Hey guys,

I noticed loud fan noise from my new Acer Aspire A5 while playing games (Rainbow Six Siege). The game runs fine but the loud noise makes it somehow sound "unhealthy"

Is this normal?

Specs:
i5 8265U 1.6 Ghz with Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
Nvidea GeForce Mx130 with 2GB VRAM
8GB DDR4 Memory
1000 HDD

Doubtful. But if you're really worried, you can always try changing your Control Panel power plan from hi performance to balanced to see if gaming performance is still acceptable.  I would also make sure your system is slightly raised above a hard surface under heavy loads to promote unobstructed airflow and help keep temps/fan speeds lower. Yep, entirely normal under heavy load. Two fans at nearly 5000rpm should really be noticeable as they're pushing a lot air.  =) Jack E/NJ

    Thanks for the answer Jack!

I wonder whether there are any longterm effects when the laptop is running so hard?
