Hi,
I would like to run two external monitors from my laptop. I am already using the HDMI port. I'm trying to work out if I can use the USB-C port for a second monitor.
So far I have tried two different USB-C to HDMI adapter cables with no success (on Windows 10).
I have not yet tried a USB-C to DisplayPort.
I don't have a display which has native USB-C.
I have not yet tried DisplayLink.
Please help.
Regards,
Matthew.

Your USB-C 3.1 gen 1 port is the same as a USB-A 3.0 except for the form factor. It does not support display output. However, an inexpensive HDMI hub will allow you to use more than one external monitor from the HDMI port. Jack E/NJ

Not that this is relevant for this issue but actually the usb-c port on mine it's even slower than the usb 3.0 i tested it with disk mark multiple times with my 2.5 5tb seagate on my StarTech.com Drive Enclosure f 2.5" SATA SSDs/HDDs - USB 3.1 (10Gbps) - USB-A/C and as i said there is a really big difference on speed between the usb-c port and the usb 3.0
