How old is your laptop? Batteries degrade with time. Even a few months use can knock 1-5% off the life of a battery. Windows does not always read the life of the battery totally accurately and you may see a few percentage variance.

5% battery loss in 11 months is within the wear rate of your average laptop battery. Actually, considering many laptop batteries die after 5-7 years, 5% in one year is very little wear.

All batteries, even rechargeable, have a lifespan. Charging cycles and use all put wear on a battery. Doesn't matter if it's the battery in your car, your TV remote, or your laptop.
