C730 taking a while to turn on

Hi all -

Has anyone noticed in the past week or so that it takes the Acer C730 longer than normal to power on? If the lid is open and/or the power button is pressed, the blue light is present but no power for about 20-30 seconds, then it boots normally.

This is just affecting our C730's, all other models are fine. However it's not just one unit. I have about 40 or so that have been affected (so far)

These machines are in a middle school used by the students, so when they don't power on right away, they close the lid (which cancels the power on request) and move on.

I was just curious if anyone else has run into this and if so, have found a fix?

We have about 1000+ C740s and all are experiencing the slow startup.
This has happened before and is most likely the recent Chrome OS update.
Don't know if google or Acer is to blame! Last time it took several months for google to push out a fix.
We had to downgrade machines and block auto updates.
We are currently buying Asus now because of such issues.
