M.2 SSD Speed on a TC-780 is Slow

I installed a new Corsair MP510 PCIe Gen3 x 4 M.2 SSD and it is supposed to get roughly 3100 MB/s read and 1040 MB/s write speeds. CrystalDiskMark is reporting 446 MB/s read and 438 MB/s write speeds.

Why so much slower?

Hi,
Your PC is compatible only with M.2 SATA SSD and not with M.2 PCIe SSD but I am surprised that your PCIe SSD booting at all, I think Corsair must have made this SSD to work with PCIe interface and SATA interface.

Yes, it seems to be a well made SSD, you can use it in another PC which is compatible with a PCIe SSD in future.

Ahh, I did not know there was a difference. Anyway, the system is stable, so far.
