Think I had a virus?

Just got off with Acer Support and my computer is 69% through a factory reset.
Well
rest in peace expensive animation programs

So I haven't been the most cautious person lately with my antiviruses because upon bootup my Acer will be REALLY slow, like, showing system32 boxes for a second slow. I uninstalled all of my antiviruses except avast because it would not uninstall to save the life of me. I didn't fully uninstall Kaspersky and i think it's broken
mostly because of what just happened
Upon opening Notepad for some writing while watching YouTube, I used the ctrl+i command for italics, when everything froze. I could move my mouse n all but nothing else was working. After a moment it unfroze. I assumed it was a virus and panicked, attempting to re-install Kaspersky. It didn't install... As expected. The window for it's installation went black halfway through and upon checking my desktop, there was the icon, but some of the text was black rather than white and blurry. I freaked out and restarted my computer a few times in a desperate attempt to get into safe mode.
When I did, I found that my password was no longer working.
After crying hysterically to an acer agent who referred to me as 'sir' despite being 14 and I told them my name (which is a female name), I told them I couldn't log on and they immediately told me to factory reset and told me they couldn't further help me.
Would that be a virus
or
I mean at one point it asked me to log on and I entered the password but the 'welcome' message wasn't there and it took me back to the password screen and when I entered it again it was fine but upon reboot I couldn't log on
oof
Also my computer before this would randomly disconnect from the internet after going into sleep mode and said 'connections are available' but none were listed and the box was much smaller than usual and I'd have to continually reboot my comp to get it to work
anyone got a fix for that?

Thanks again.

Turn the laptop off. Unplug the charger. Look for a battery reset pinhole on the bottom. Should have a battery icon. Gently insert a paper clip into the hole for 30 seconds to disconnect the battery. Let the machine rest for about 15 mins. Then plug the charger back in. Then turn the machine back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 screen. A recovery screen should appear like before. Follow directions as in the video below to reset the machine to a factory-fresh condition. Uninstall and do NOT use any non-Microsoft antivirus like McAfeee, Nortor, AVG or malwarebytes. Windows defender is all you need. Jack E/NJ
