No Bootable Device. E5-571. Please help!

Hi...So, I have an Acer E5-571/531 series and I've had it for about 4 years now and just today after I shut it down, I went back onto it a half hour later and the Acer loading screen is coming up but with no loading icon and eventually: No Bootable Device...and a HD and magnifyimg glass pic comes up...Now I think from reading other similar posts it's the Hard drive but I really can't seem to figure anything out....I've gone into the F2 BIOS Screen but I've just tried to reset it and although the loading icon works sometimes, it still won't start...please help...I'm rather young and I don't want to have to ask for a new computer...I'd feel terrible especially with Christmas already planned....

For some reason, your hd is not being identified! Look in hdd model name (none):

Now try the hint that I posted earlier to see if the hd is identified again:
OK! Your notebook has an external battery! Unplug the notebook from the electrical outlet and disconnect the battery. Then press the power button for exactly three seconds to eliminate the static power that is preventing the notebook from turning on properly! Then turn on the notebook and press f2 before the Acer logo!

OK! When you turn on the notebook, immediately press the f2 key to enter the BIOS! Go to the boot section and look for the boot mode! It should be in uefi or legacy mode! Change to legacy and press f10 to save when exiting. If the message "no bootable device" still remains, enter the BIOS again and change the boot mode to uefi!

Hi , I know what I have to do, but right now
For some reason, when I press f2 the BIOS won't come up Am I pressing it too late?

Ok so I've figured the F2 part put haha thanks. But now it's going onto a black text screen with some numbers and Media test failure, check cable and underneath that it says No bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key.
What should I do from here?

OK! Your notebook has an external battery! Unplug the notebook from the electrical outlet and disconnect the battery. Then press the power button for exactly three seconds to eliminate the static power that is preventing the notebook from turning on properly! Then turn on the notebook and press f2 before the Acer logo!

OK! No need to do the above tip as I only saw your answer when I added mine! Enter the bios and put on uefi mode again!

Ok so I'm about to do the change from legacy to uefi mode...but before I do: there are a list of numbers underneath and some websites say that the HDD one should be at the top of the list...does this have anything got to do with it? I'll tell you what happens when I do the restart on UEFI in a sec.

yea! You should select uefi mode and put windows boot manager first!

Yeah i put that first but still no luck.
No bootable device came up again.

Will i keep HDD: at the top of the Boot menu list? Or will i put USB HDD up at number 1?

Omg thank you so much.
So I think I get what you mean.
That's why my HDD doesn't have the name of my PC after it in the boot menu.
So I'm going to check the hardrive tomorrow when I get a chance.
