Request to repair faulty keyboard missing keystrokes

Dear Admin

I wrote earlier regarding my faulty keyboard of brand new Acer Asire 5 purchased from Dubai in MAY-2018, my laptop continuously missing some selected key strokes and works upon keep hitting the keys repeatedly, this is very hard for me to type this email, for example if the key Q is not working then all other keys i.e. W,T,U,P,J, -, and right arrow key all stops instantly and then upon hitting any of these keys repeatedly one key all starts working for a seconds and then keep missing this circle keep repeating specially when I am writing something on notepad or email its more annoying. Please help if there is any solution my system is in warranty.

Any support will be highly appreciated in this regard

hi there, did all as you said, 1) first of all updated the bios version from the acer portal then restarted and the problem were still there, so I repeated the next step and uninstalled the keyboard driver and disabled fast startup from the power options and pressed the reset but below the laptop....restarted AND I AM VERY GLAD FOR NOW THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED...THIS PROBLEM HIJACKED MY 2 MONTHS AND I WAS UNABLE TO CONFIGURE THE PROBLEM...SO FROM NOW ON BIG THUMBS UP FOR YOU TO SOLVE THIS LIFE HACKING ISSUE....YOU SAVED MY LIFE...BIG THANKS

So I suggest you get technical support from your country to have the notebook repaired within the warranty period! In this case, check if there is an Acer service center in Pakistan to find out how the international warranty works!

OK! First check the version of bios that is installed on your computer and if the problem remains while connecting an external keyboard:

Then try these steps:

a) Uninstall the keyboard driver from the device manager and disable fast startup in the power options as follows:

b) Then unplug the notebook and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Press the battery reset hole for five seconds and leave the notebook off for five minutes!

c) Turn on the notebook and see if the keyboard works!

OK! Answer me one more thing: What is the model of your video card and which version of bios did you download? I'm asking this, as version 1.21 of bios is exclusive to the mx130 video cards! If your model has the mx150 or 940mx video card, you can not upgrade to version 1.21 as it will cause compatibility issues with these cards!

Could you also put my answers as resolved? Is your video card appearing in the device manager? You should have consulted me before upgrading, because I just asked you to check the bios version, because I already knew that there are several versions of this model with different video cards! Now is to wait for Acer to launch a new bios update to fix this problem!

it appear like this.....And unfortunately letters....Q , T , U, P and J again missing same like before....I apologize If I didn't follow your step of updating BIOS, but it just happened as misunderstanding

OK! At least the video card is being identified correctly! Could you verify that the problem also occurs when connecting an external keyboard?

I also recommend that you restore the notebook to factory defaults, to rule out being a hardware problem! To do this, it is recommended that you back up your files and then restart the notebook! Press the alt + f10 keys before the Acer logo appears to access the Acer recovery partition!

Ok before this I want to inform that last night I reinstalled fresh copy of windows but nothing happened, anyways I will repeat your steps one by one.

Finally confirmend that external keyboard is working fine without any problem, the problem is within builtin keyboard only.
