I have an Acer Aspire A515-51-531Z and have the slot for M.2 drive. does it support 1TB SSD?

I have an Acer Aspire A515-51-531Z and have the slot for M.2 drive...just want to know if it supports 1TB?
Other threads answer all but that.

Mfr date for Acer was 2017/10/20, relatively new.

    You can upgrade the HDD upto 2Tb and the SSD upto 256 GB

    I have seen comments regarding the M.2 slot which say it only supports 250GB, and another post that 500GB may work...

    I did see the spec for the 2.5" drive bay for 2TB.

    i'll buy the 1TB if i can leave the existing 1TB disk in and add the SSD to the M.2 slot
