Left or Right click on the Windows start button. Explorer.exe is FileExplorer. The left click FileExplorer can be dragged as a shortcut to your desktop. You can also right click the desktop shortcut and pin it to start taskbar. You can rename to explorer or the old explore if you want. :) Jack E/NJ

No desktop is different. Try this first. Get back into the desktop in your usual manner. Open Control Panel. Search power plan. Select change what the power button do. Click change setting that are unavailable. Scroll down the list and uncheck turn on fast startup to disable fast boot. Then shut down Windows and do a slow cold reboot. If that solves the problem, keep fast boot disabled to avoid future problems like this,

If it doesn't solve the problem,
    (1) What is your full Predator model number PH5????
    (2) Has it always been this way?
