How can I fix a recurring blue screen?

I purchased a Nitro 5 Acer Gaming Laptop for a friend of mine four months ago. It was running smoothly initially, however, it has recently been exhibiting issues when he plays the game League of Legends. When he starts a game, his computer completely freezes and shortly after, a blue screen appears and he is forced to shut it down manually. I am concerned because this is a brand new laptop and it should not be exhibiting such a major issue. He has tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, updating drivers, looking through any errors in coding, uninstalling his antivirus due to signal issues, etc. He has spoken with many technicians regarding this issue but I wanted to ask the Acer community to see if anyone has dealt with a similar issue with their laptop and has found a resolution to the problem. This issue began sometime in September, potentially earlier than that. Is it also worth sending back the product? I am unsure if I am still able to return it, due to the elapsed time. He has also took apart the laptop to see if anything internal is wrong/faulty with the computer. Will it still be returnable?
