Maximum capacity for M.2 NVME and 2.5" drives in my predator PH317-51 laptop
I have a predator PH317-51 laptop with a 256MB M.2 SSD and a 1tb 2.5" standard HD stock as purchased. I wanted to get a bigger M.2 or NVME drive as I'm filling up and wanted some guidance. I've seen posts that say NVME drives work in my laptop (although not at full NVME speeds), and I've seen posts that the maximum is 512MB capacity is supported. I think the NVME question seems to be supported in multple posts when I search, but not the maximum size aspect. I was hoping to get a 1tb Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVME drive but wanted to know if this size is compatible with my machine. Also can I swap out the 1tb 2.5" drive for a 2tb 2.5" drive. Many thanks in advance.
