Power and charging light blinking at same time

Hello, i'm experiencing a problem with my Acer aspire 5733Z laptop. Whenever the laptop is off and i plug in the charger only the yellow light comes on which indicates charging and the battery charges fine. However, when the charger is still plugged in and i switch on the laptop, as the laptop comes on it gives a single bleep sound and then the power light and the charging light starts blinking and the battery no longer charge. Even if the laptop is already on and i plug in the charger thereafter the power and the charging lights will start blinking and the battery won't charge. Please i need help on how to solve this problem. All suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Try this:

a) disable fast start up in the power options if you are using windows 8 or 10 and turn off the notebook;

b) unplug the notebook from the electrical outlet, and then disconnect the lithium battery. Then press the power button for thirty seconds;

c) If the procedures do not work, turn on system protection and then download the driverbooster program to update all notebook drivers;
