I bought the above laptop about one month ago.  Every time I walk away from it, leaving it on, and come back, it's frozen.  I can't activate it again and always have to switch off by the power button and re boot.  Why is this happe4ning, please.

There are many reasons for freezing.  Here is a discussion.
If it is possible to ask the vendor for a full refund, do so.
If not, consider asking Acer for repair under warranty.

Thanks for your response.  I am going to request a refund because I've just had another fault reported (STOP CODE: MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION) and I fear this is going to be a long haul and a one month old laptop will become a brick for the future.

Seasoned specialist.....can I ask a question please.  I am returning my aspire and I need to strip it of all personal stuff.  Can you please tell me how I can uninstall the Windows 10 email app.  I started to use it when I got this laptop but I can't find out how to remove it.  thanks,

    1. To remove personal data, do a factory reset as described here.
    2. See this to remove the email app. To paste the command in Step 3 of the tutorial into PowerShell, open the Edit tab & click Paste.

Don't know if you still have the laptop, but I came to these forums looking for an answer on this very issue and never found one.

What I ended up doing, was uninstalling all of the factory installed Acer programs. Haven't had an issue with it freezing since. If you still own the laptop, give that a try.

I ended up sending it back because I couldn't resolve the issues it had.  I got a different laptop as I didn't want to take the chance a second time. Thanks for your note though.
