i have a acer Extensa 5235 the power come on but wont boot up and screen is dead / black ..

before u say its not in sleep mode Battery is ok and not the dimmer switch lol.... it just wont boot or turn screen on !"£$%*&^ aaaaa any ideas please

Hi @mike-c, 

To get display in your screen, I recommend you to try performing power drain. To do that; 

1. Disconnect adapter plugged in to the laptop. 
2. Flip the laptop up side down. 
3. Look for battery release latch (2-In the image below) and slide it to release the battery out. 
4. Once battery is removed, flip the computer up. 
5. Press & hold the power [On/Off] button for 30 seconds. 
6. Later flip the computer again and re-seat the battery to its bay.
7. Slide the battery lock button (6-In the image below) and lock the battery.  
8. Then try powering on the computer and that should work.
