You don't need anti-static gloves or wrist strap and anti-static mat or anything of a similar kind. Usually, anti-static equipment is used when you handle delicate equipments like CPUs and motherboards.

As you are not replacing any parts on your laptop, you don't need anti-static equipment, just remove the heatsink, re-apply paste and put heatsink back on. But if you want to just make sure that nothing wrong will happen, it is good enough to connect a piece of wire to a metal object and then wrap the other end around your wrist. This will ensure that any static electricity that is built up will discharge from your hand through the wire.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
