Question regarding bios updates? To update or not
Hi everyone,
I have an Aspire ES1-531. Windows 10/ 64 bit
I wanted to ask if we are supposed to manually update bios ourselves via acer's website? I have a little over two years old acer aspire es1-531 and according to acer care centre I have a bios update of v1.11 and when I ask to check for updates it scans and informs me that I am all updated. I have never been prompted to update bios. Thing is when I go online via acer product support online I see five different bios updates that seem to have come out after the v1.11 (1.15, 1.16, 1.18, 1.19, 1.22).
Question: Am I required to install all these five bios updates?
I ask because as detailed below in the context section, I was thinking a bios update may help me overcome the problems I am currently facing.
Context: My computer has been working very smoothly and then last week I noticed that sometimes it would freeze. It has continued freezing and I have now lost my network adapter so unable to access the internet (I went on device manager and uninstalled my network adapter, restarted and then scanned for hardware changes as this usually works but this time my network adapter disappeared and now I am without an internet connection. Event log shows issues with Kernel Power 41 and event 10016 Distributed COM.
