Aspire S5-37IT - Rename issue & scroll down trouble

Hi, I am using Aspire S5-37IT laptop, there are two issues that I have been having: 

1. difficulties to rename any files and folders, 

e.g. when create new folder/file, then try to rename it, the rename field only stays active for few seconds, so if I cannot type the new name in to it within this few seconds, it goes back to the original when it was created. 

2. Another issues is with the scroll down thing, when a folder contains a long list of files, I try to scroll down to find the document at the bottom. When a file in the bottom selected, the view is supposed to stay with the select file until I move to somewhere else. However my case is that the view goes back to the top of folder automatically.

When you create the new folder, just press the space bar. Then take your time thinking about what you want to name it. In the second case, do you mean that once you left clicked on the file to select it,  it won't stay selected? Jack E/NJ
