Windows 10 OS is completely screwed up, unable to boot, need suggestions a path forward
I have an old PC ready to donate. So, fortunately, there are no files that need to be saved.
I went to Settings->Update->Reset->blow away all files and (re)install Windows 10. Result: failed with error code "undefined"
So, now I have a PC that won't boot. I used another PC to load Windows 10 onto USB and try that.
I got to Install now->no key->Select Windows 10 Home->accept license->select type of install (upgrade or custom?)
Upgrade said invalid, so I tried custom->where do you want to install? and that is where I am.
The 'where do you want to install screen' provides 4 choices: Partition 0, 1, 2, 3 All 4 choices have the following error message:
Windows can't be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
Any ideas where I go from here? All I want is a disk wiped clean with Windows 10 bootable.
