Hi,
I have an Acer Aspire F15 F5-571T-569T. I bought it used, and the person I bought it from upgraded the HDD to a 120GB SSD. I wanted more space so I decided to keep the SSD for windows and buy a CD-Rom to SATA caddy to install a storage 1TB HDD. I am running Windows 10, and installing the HDD went fine and the drive showed up in disk management, all I had to do was format it to NTFS. It worked for me for a couple of days but now the drive won't even show up in my BIOS.
I thought maybe the drive or caddy went bust so I replaced both of them and it still will not show up in BIOS. I used the Acer Care Center app to check drivers up to date, and the windows updater to make sure windows was fine. I also re-installed the bios from the acer website and the drive still does not read, even in BIOS. Generally I would think it is a compatibility issue but I don't think that is it because why would it work for a short period of time at first. I also reinstalled my CD-Rom tray and checked that out and it is working, just in case those wires to the MB were loose or something. Please help me figure out what I am missing.
