Weird rectangle on Acer GF276 monitor

I recently purchased a GF276 monitor.
(UM HG6AA A01)
When I view the background with no windows open, I see a shadowy rectangle roughly centred in the screen that is 800 x 500 pixels in size.
The rectangle is only on the background, and appears whether I have a picture or not.
The rectangle is not filled in.
I have 3 monitors connected to my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960.
This one is connected to a DisplayPort, one is connected using DVI, and the third is connected via HDMI

This is the only monitor that shows this.
I can find no setting in the OSD, nor in the NVIDIA control panel that would control this.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Have you checked this monitor by connecting it to another port?
If you are using Chrome, click on Chrome menu, select Settings > Advanced Settings, scroll down under system, and check the box adjacent to ‘Use Hardware Acceleration when available’ option.

You can also try turning this option off in Chrome helps: chrome://flags/#disable-slimming-paint

Open that as an URL in Chrome. It might ask you turn the option off, if so, turn it off.
