I need to point files opening with extension .ica to use the Citrix Workstation app that I downloaded rather than open as a text file when I select them.  Everything I see online says I should click the down arrow to the right of Open on the download window.  However, there is no down arrow so the only option I have is to open the file as a text file.

I realized that you have installed Citrix Workspace.  The reason I supplied the 2nd & the 3rd links, is in case you did not have the latest version.  In the first link there is Solution # 2 plus 3 other possible solutions on the bottom of the webpage.

No, I have the app installed.  The problem is that when I go to connect to my employer's network it launches a file with a .ica file extension.  That file is supposed to launch the reciever app.however my Chromebook doesn't recognize that and will only open it in text form.  I'm trying to change the default app so that when it sees .ica it goes to the Citrix app I have downloaded.

Sorry, I didn't look close enough at what you'd attached before I assumed!  I'm starting to look now.  On initial glance it's making me hopeful!

You're young. You can't help it. (Written tongue-in-cheek.)  Best of luck.
