It was at 2% last time I checked it. Is there anything I can do to reduce the rate of battery wear? I usually keep the laptop plugged it (read somewhere that modern computers stop charging once the battery gets to 100% thereby reducing the number of charge cycles).

Checked the wear level from HWMonitor.

When you first purchase your laptop you should do a manual Battery Calibration to increase its lifespan.

    You do this by:
    1. Charging laptop to 100%
    2. Let battery drain to 20%
    3. Repeat the above 3 times

Then leave the charger plugged in as much as possible and once every 3 months or so allow the battery to drain to 20% to maintain battery health.

If you do these steps now you won't regain the lost 3% but it will help for the future. Also the first 0-6% battery max loss is quite common in the first few years on a machine this powerful.
