Missing keystrokes on a basically new Asus A515-51-563W

Hello!
I had bought the Asus A515-51-563W last December 2017...without a warranty (I know-big mistake...I've bought a Sony laptop before without a warranty and never had any issues and so I assumed the same with this Asus). For the last two months, my t, u, p, and ! letters do not work unless I really keep pushing different keys until the letters do appear. Also, these keys do not work well unless I use certain applications or websites like this one. Is it even worth calling Asus to do some kind of reboot? How can I fix this problem?

You probably need a replacement keyboard top. Google A515-51 and replacement keyboard. About $90. Maybe cheaper on ebay. But you can try uninstalling the KB driver from Device Manager. Exit. Then reboot and let Windows automatically re-detect the KB and re-install the driver. But I doubt that'll help from your description. Jack E/NJ

Since this key behavior seems kind of intermittent, you might just try to re-seat the KB ribbon cable connector at the mainboard a few times to try to clean its contacts. Sometimes this helps especially in times when the humidity has been high for extended periods. Jack E/NJ

Yes, it will install the driver.

Right click start, click Device manager, expand Keyboards, right click Standard P/S 2 keyboard and select Properties, uninstall the driver in Driver tab.
