I Want to turn on laptop and I hear it starting up. But the screen stays black. Laptop is about 5 months old.
Somebody suggested to take the battery out. I can’t find the battery.🤔
Any suggestions?

It's time to contact Acer & have them repair it under warranty.  Your Acer Center may be out for the weekend. First thing Monday, put in that call.  Have your SNID ready.  It's on a label on the back cover.

See if there's a battery reset pinhole on the bottom of the laptop. Should have a battery symbol. Disconnect the charger and gently press a paper clip into the hole for about a minute. Then wait for about 10 mins and try to turn the machine on again. Jack E/NJ

If you can't find the battery, then it's internal.
    Try the following:
    1) reset the battery as explained here.
    2) connect the laptop to your television & power up both.
    3) if the TV screen appears normal, then the screen may have failed.  If the TV is black, the RAM may need to be re-seated/replaced or there is a problem with the motherboard. In either case, contact your local Acer Center for repair under warranty.

I did the reset of the battery. I can’t connect laptop to tv because I have an old tv and don’t have the cable with the proper connections.
And don’t have any other (tv)screen in the house.
But there is a change in the laptop. The fan makes a very loud noise now. Very loud!
