Computer not working?

So it's Friday night and I pull out my laptop for some gaming. I turn it on and it shows the Acer logo with preparing automatic repair on the bottom of my screen. If I let it load it says select your keyboard. Ok fine. I select my keyboard layout. Now it takes me to the next screen. I have two options turn off pc or troubleshoot. Obviously I select troubleshoot. It lists the options i have to troubleshoot. System restore is the first one I see so I click it. It pops up a message saying "To use System Restore, you must first specify which Windows installation to restore. Restart this computer, select an operating system, and then select System Restore." I select close and it takes me back to troubleshoot . Startup repair doesn't work, but I haven't tried "go back to previous version", "system image recovery", "command prompt", or "UEFI firmware settings". What dodo I do to fix my PC?

It's a Acer aspire e5-573 series laptop with Windows 10.

Per this tutorial, by default, System Restore is disabled on Windows 10.
Assuming there had been no preparations for System Restore, the next option is factory reset. Choose the method for the medium (or not) that is available.

What was the original factory installed Windows version? If Win8.1, it's probably asking if you want to restore Win8.1 or Win10 . Go back to the previous version is probably Win8.1. System image recovery is probably Win10. So choose which you want. If it was mine, I'd probably choose Win8.1 because it has maintenance support till 2023. The latest major Win10 1809 update only has this support till 2020.

It was bought factory new with Win10. How do I select that option and restore?

In that case, go back to the previous version probably means the previous major Win10 update version released in April. And system image recovery probably means just before it was Friday night. But neither is guaranteed to work. If they don't work, you may be forced into a factory reset which brings you back to the day you acquired the machine. Jack E/NJ
