Hi, I recently got this laptop used and the hard drive was bad, so I reinstalled windows 7 on a new drive, I installed all the drivers on the site for it, and the volume SUCKS *****. It says it has Dolby Home Theatre but I sure cannot tell. Am I doing something wrong, or is there some software I need, or what?

Are you sure it was originally a factory-installed Win7 model? Because some of the hardware might be different than for the same model but with  factory-installed Win8x. Jack E/NJ

It shipped with Windows 8, not 7. When the HDD went ***** up, I grabbed an old 1tb from my old laptop and I had a copy of 7 Ultimate and installed it.

So it has a UEFI bootstrapper that you're running in legacy BIOS mode? Jack E/NJ

Could you try these settings to check the Max volume.

Go to Control panel > Click on hardware and sound > then click on Sound > Under playback devices select the speakers and make sure the volume is set at 100% then make a right click on the speakers and click test. Check the Max vol produced.
